Welcome to the wiki for MONSooN and Unified Model collaborators
(known as "the Collaboration Wiki")
This wiki aims to support the many collaborative projects involving the Met Office and other organisations, by providing an environment for information and knowledge sharing among project participants. The wiki is a collection of pages that can be edited at any time by any registered user. You can use wiki pages to have discussions, upload documents and images, keep a record of useful notes and describe your current project or developmental work.
There are three main groups of collaborators for whom this wiki has been set up for:
- members of Met Office staff and researchers at UK academic institutions who are involved in projects of the Joint Weather and Climate Research Programme (JWCRP) and making use of MONSooN (the Met Office and NERC Supercomputing Node). This shared resource is available for use by collaborative projects approved jointly by the Met Office and NERC and will facilitate a more rapid pull through of environmental science.
- Researchers at UK academic institutions and Met Office staff involved in other collaborations, not using MONSooN, but needing a space to share information.
- national meteorological services who are licenced to use the UM operationally and Met Office staff who help to support these services. Further information can be found on the External Collaboration website (password required).
Users are invited to add any content they would like to share with fellow collaborators or start discussion threads with.
For topics relating to operational users of the UM, collaborative projects and general support and documentation, please click on a button below or on the side bar. The
Operational web will contain information relating to national met services. Work relating to individual collaborative projects should be added to the appropriate subweb within the
Project web, and the
Support web will contain general documentation on the UM and MONSooN.
See the
SiteMap for an overview of the different areas on this wiki.
Climate Model Policy can now be found within the
Support Web.
